This is something I've been thinking of putting up for weeks now: a digital version of the 1907 Saldanha edition of Thomas Stephens' Khristapurana:
Check out the full text... in the Roman script (and an English introduction)http://www.scribd.com/doc/Thanks to Julius Cardozo for bringing this to my attention.116499082/The-Christian- Puranna-Krista-Purana-Of-Fr- Thomas-Stephens
Thomas Stephens (c. 1549, Bushton, Wiltshire, England - 1619, Salcete, Goa,India) was a Jesuit priest missionary in Portuguese India, writer andlinguist. Probably the first Englishman to set foot in India.See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Stephens_(Jesuit)
Thanks to Dr Manju Shivalli ( manjuraghavendrarao@gmail.com),
librarian of the Chowgule College in Margao, for doing the job of scanning this useful
text, and to the Rachol Seminary for making the document accessible. Dr
Shivalli has some innovative plans and achievements already... specially
regarding the scanning old texts and manuscripts in Goa. She is looking
forward to get in touch with librarians in the US or UK, particularly those
with an interest in Goa.
